One of the biggest motivators and a huge source of inspiration for me are the clients that I work with. I get super excited for what they’re providing or what they’re going to be doing in the future that I get be a part of to create the visual brand. And the cool thing is that as my clients change, so does my opportunity for growth.
I am so excited to welcome Hannah Beasley to the podcast. And don’t think you don’t know Hannah because if you have been a listener of the podcast or a reader of CulturallyOurs, you already know Hannah. She is the graphic designer and the branding expert behind everything that is CulturallyOurs today. This sweet lady gave a face and a voice to my vision of creating a unique platform to share global narratives. She listened to my ramblings, look all my chicken scratches, screen shots and hand written notes and made it into what CulturallyOurs is today. And every time I hear a compliment about the website, the aesthetics, the logo and the branding, I cannot help smile and thank my lucky stars for having Hannah on my team.
Hannah is an amazing graphic designer but even beyond that she is a wonderful human being. She is so talented and a lot of that comes across as she talks about her entrepreneurial journey – starting off as a teen because she was just really curious about design, process and code and teaching herself everything along the way. Now nine years later, she says she is at a point where she is doing what she loves to do – helping brands and companies create graphics and aesthetic that not just pretty but convey their mission, vision and strategy.Hannah was also one of the few entrepreneurs on the show that have talked about faith. And I really appreciated she for acknowledging that. A lot of times we don’t want to say anything that can come across as a religious bias or offend anyone and so we keep quiet about it. But it is clear that this means a lot to her, and she is not afraid to vocalize it.
I asked Hannah about how she balanced business, life and everything that goes around being a young adult, and she said, “I try to be really regimented about how many hours I work per day and when I work. So I block out my entire work day. And then when I’m done, I’m done. And I can go hang out with family or friends and relax. I find that it really helps me to be fully invested in whatever I’m doing at the moment.” – sounds like such an efficient way to have a work-life-balance, right?Through out the conversation, the thing I kept noticing was how grounded Hannah was about her work, her talent and her life’s mission. She has been such a delight to work with on all of CulturallyOurs’ branding and visual identify and I know you are going to enjoy getting to know her on this episode of CulturallyOurs.
