I really don’t know where I am from anymore. I have lived in so many places and each of them have felt like home. I have always felt like I am a migrant at heart even from a very young age. So leading a nomadic lifestyle was really the best fit for me.

I have to admit, I am a wanderer at heart as well. At any given time, I am planning my next adventure. Most of them don’t ever make it out of my head but I love the freedom to dream of ‘what if’ scenarios. But when I chatted with Stefania Boglioli, our guest for today’s episode of CulturallyOurs, I felt like a wanna-be traveler. You see, Stefania is a true nomad. She has literally quit her job, packed her bags and moved away from everything just because she wanted to experience life to the fullest. Stefania has done this many times over – living and traveling in places like Kenya, Scotland, and many more. And her adventures even spil over to her professional life. From owning and managing a game reserve in Kenya to setting up a company dealing in sustainable energy to now travel photography – she has done it all and done it well.

Thought out our chat, Stefania talked about how she always felt restless and stifled at home in Italy. The world out there was calling her name and she just knew she had to leave and explore life for all its beauty – the ups and the downs.

When I asked Stefania what motivated her everyday, her answer really moved me. She said three core things drive her everyday. First is growth – both spiritual as well as intellectual, second is knowledge and not in an academic sense but more in a life learning sort of way and third is a deep sense of curiosity that really keeps her going.CulturallyOurs Kilimanjaro Kenya Stefania Boglioli Expat InterviewStefania is an absolute delight to speak with and I loved listening to her Italian accent. She jokes that it is the only thing that keeps her connected to her home country. But she left big pieces of her heart in Kenya and Scotland – two countries that she loves more than any other place in the world.

If you too dream of far off adventures and living a nomadic life, you don’t want to miss this conversation with Stefania. I know you are going to enjoy getting to know this lovely lady on this episode of CulturallyOurs.
