Ever since I learnt about the concept of National Parks and federally protected outdoor spaces that have been set aside for the enjoyment of the public, I have always picked National Parks that are surrounded by snow capped peaks and clear blue waters of Alpine lakes. And when I started researching National Parks in North America one of the ones that kept coming up among all my Google searches was Banff and the infamous Lake Louise. Of course little did I know that Banff and Lake Louise have a rich heritage as one of the world’s most awe-inspiring mountain destinations. So it is only natural for me to chat with someone from Canada to explore more of this beautiful country. I am so excited to welcome Lori Mclellan to the CulturallyOurs podcast.
Lori lives in Calgary Alberta with her family on a rural property just outside of the city. Lori is also a passionate photographer and she shares some beautiful places and experiences not just in Banff National Park but also in her city of Calgary. From Prince’s island, downtown Calgary sights as well as eclectic restaurants like Deans house and a thin crust pizza place that streams movies while you eat, Calgary sounds like a super fun city to explore.
So come take a virtual tour of Calgary with Lori and I on this episode of CulturallyOurs.
