It is said that to understand how to truly live life and experience happiness you must either live in Italy or spend time with Italians. After all the phrase ‘La Bella Vita’ does mean beautiful life in Italian. And Italy is an utter celebration of the senses, resplendent with over-the-top artistry and opulence. But yet full of simple pleasures of morning expressos, impromptu gatherings of friends and family and amazing wholesome food.
So today we explore one of the top tourist destinations in the world – Italy – with Chiara Dalla Rosa, an Italian living in the countryside in Vicenza. Chiara describes herself as a nomad who has lived all over the world but soon found her way back home. For her, home has special meaning because she is fascinated with art, history and culture and nowhere is it more prominent than in the towns, museums and galleries in Italy.
Another thing Chiara and I shared was a fascination for Italian food. I mean who doesn’t love risotto, pizza, focaccia along with some good Italian wine and cheese.
Chiara was an absolute delight to speak with and she shared her passion and love for all things Italy. She gave us an easy itinerary to follow to explore her hometown as well as places like Puglia, Verona, Sorrento and Capri. I don’t know about you but listening to Chiara definitely brought forth that feeling of wanderlust and need for exploration so much more. Plus, with a local’s perspective and insight into where to go and what to see, I know when I make my way back to this beautiful country, my experience will be that much more special. La Bella Vita for sure!
So, if Italy is on the radar for you as a place you would like to visit in the near future, come join Chiara and me as we chat about all things Italy on this episode of CulturallyOurs.
