Meeta Wolff On Happiness As A Guiding Force For Business Success

If you are like most aspiring business owners and entrepreneurs, you are likely scratching your hear trying to figure out how to leverage your creative hobby or interest into a fabulous and financially rewarding career. Most of us know what we want to do but are not quite sure how to do it. We are often scared of taking that big leap of faith, going after that dream. We have all these negative thoughts in our head of all the things that could and may go wrong. We are often stuck in our comfort zone. Those feelings of desiring change but also fearful of that change are very real and often paralyze us into doing absolutely nothing. {link to how to deal with change and how to live a more meaningful life} Sometimes in life, we need a push to make the changes we truly desire. As a wise man once said, If you want to change things in life, you have just got to change things in your life! And as you look back at some of the biggest changes you have made in your life, the scariest changes have also been the ones that brought the most joy and fun in the long run. So today we want to remind you that it is okay to listen to that tiny voice in your head that’s telling you it is time for a change. Allow yourself to feel the message in your heart and follow it no matter how scary it might be. If you are waiting for permission to pursue your dream, then stop. The only person who needs to give you permission is yourself. Shine on…this is your time. Life is too short not to follow your hearts desire. You owe it to yourself to at least try to live your wildest dreams. To help you move forward and get unstuck, here are 10 powerful questions to ask yourself. They will help you brainstorm, pick actions and get your motivation back. #1 Imagine for a moment that you have made that big change in your life. How does that make you feel? How did you get there? Starting with the end in mind and then working backwards can help you identify the action steps you can begin taking now to get the wind back into your sails. #2 In this moment in time, what are you ready to change? What are you not ready to change? Get clear on your options and identify the steps you need to take. Clarifying the things that you cannot yet change and why can help you bring focus to the situation at hand. #3 What haven’t you admitted out aloud? Fear and worry can be a real show-stopper. Be honest with yourself and write down what is really holding you back – financial, emotion, physical or even mental. #4 What is the easy way forward? Trying to figure it all out before you act can keep you stuck far longer than necessary. Perfection is a myth. Instead break it down into smaller, manageable steps and that will help you get past your fear faster. Remember there is no such thing as overnight success. #5 What would you do if you were already achieved your goal? Imagine you are fully confident in your ability to get it done, what would you do next? #6 If time was no objections, what would you do and how would you do it? #7 If money was no objection, what would you do and how would you do it? #8 How will you show up in the world and how those who love and support you when you reach your goals, become who you want to become and even ‘make it’? #9 What typically stops you from moving forward? And how do you want to overcome that obstacle? #10 What are your top 3 wishes that directly relate to your goal? In life and in business, learning how to get unstuck and make a change is a valuable skill. But too often we are looking for Answers when we are not even sure what the questions are. These questions help unlock those thoughts and writing them down is almost like giving yourself permission to let it all go and make the best of what you have to live a wonderfully productive life.
